Caleb's PromProposal to Miley

Caleb did a Promprosal to Miley. Apparently that's a thing that they do now-a-days. I gave him the idea to write a cute poem in chalk on her driveway and give her donuts and hot cocoa. He got there at 6am and worked on it for a few hours since they have a late start for school on Wednesdays. She was so surprised! I'm really thankful her mom took pictures of the whole thing for me. He did such a good job!

 

Miley's Mormon Promposal to Caleb

 Caleb's friend Miley asked him to go to Mormon Prom with her. She surprised him by saying she needed him to film something with her for class but it was all just a set up. He then opened a cake and it said 'Prom?' on it. He's exciting to be able to go to another prom besides the regular high school prom. 

Asher Makes Pasta

For Asher's birthday, he really wanted a pasta maker so that's what he got! The very next day, he made us fresh pasta and it was delicious! I'm so proud of him for trying new things! He really is such a great cook!

 

Happy 14th Birthday, Asher!

Happy 14th Birthday to my Boo! Asher is a really dynamic kid. He’s super athletic, smart & quick witted. He loves to cook & bake, garden, be outside, explore & loves all plants & animals. He doesn’t do things just because they’re popular or to try to fit in. I really love that about him and not common among 14 year olds.

He generally wears a strong outer shell & doesn’t show emotion often when he’s not at home but under that shell, he is a really cuddly boy with a sensitive heart. He loves to snuggle which is my favorite thing. Currently, he wants to be a chef when he grows up. That passion is what fueled his birthday celebration choice… he chose to go to Osteria Mozza... an Italian Michelin Star restaurant for exquisite fine dining.

They had a birthday card already at our table, every employee wished our boy a happy birthday, we were treated so well & the food was impeccable. We had a mozzarella, bread and sauce appetizer which was so delicious. Then we had 4 different kinds of pasta with a desert. We were stuffed afterwards. I want to go back again. Asher loved it all and had such a good time. 

For his birthday, he asked for a pasta maker set and was so excited when he opened up his gifts. He made us fresh pasta a few days later that was so yummy! 

We sure do love this boy of ours! Happy Birthday, Ash!

 

50th Themed Party!

 My friend, Meghan, turned 50 and had a 50's themed birthday party. It was so much fun. I went as a homemaker and Fred was the working/professor Dad with his pipe and coat. It was fun to dress up and have a theme. Meghan went all out with the decor and table setting. It was beautiful! 

Hallway Redo

One thing about me is I like to switch things up in my home. It's fun and brings me joy. For a while now, I was feeling blah about the end of our hallway. I love the blue but it just felt like it needed something more. I started looking into peel and stick wallpaper and the possibility of adding a mirror to make it overall brighter, appear longer and more open.

I really love it! Maybe after a few years, I'll change out the wallpaper if I feel like it! 

It adds so much more to the space!

Galentine's Day

 Thanks to the TV show Parks & Recreation, we have Galentine's Day! This year some of my OOI neighbors and I went out to celebrate Galentine's Day! Nothing beats good food, good wine and good  conversation with friends!
