Kirsten's 39th Birthday

I turned 39! I went to dinner with some of my friends a few days before my actual birthday at a place called Kindred Spirits. It's a wine bar and it was delicious! We decided to all dress up in fancy dresses we either never wear because we don't have any place to wear them enough or dresses we've never worn before. We all looked so cute and it was so fun! They paid for my dinner and sang Happy Birthday to me. My actual  birthday was Monday. It was a normal day however we did go out for dinner at Lazy Dog and my brother, parents and in laws came over for cake & presents. Ethan gave me flowers & a really nice card. Caleb gave me some face masks & bath bombs. Macie gave me lots of homemade cards and Fred bought me tickets to go see the musical Moulin Rouge... in November. Ha! My mom gave me some perfume & jewelry and I got a homemade card from my mother in law and cash from both my in laws. It was a nice birthday. It's weird to think this is my last year in my 30's! 

Macie & Mama Tea Date!

 Macie tried out Girl Scouts for the last 6 months. During that time, she sold Girl Scout cookies. Because our troop raised so much money, they were able to get a reward! The girls voted on going to a big trampoline park and going out to tea! Macie loved the take shoppe. They had a harpist play and it was by far the girliest thing I've ever done with her. I don't think she'll do Girl Scouts again but it sure was fun celebrating our hard work from selling cookies!

Dolphin Season Has Begun!

 The Dolphins season has begun! We had our Time Trials and a few activities like Tie Dye & Karoke. This is Caleb's last Dolphins season which is crazy! Macie has moved up to the 9/10's and doing IM's. Asher is in the 13/14's with a killer relay team consisting of Asher, Connor, Mateo & Bryan. Caleb is in the 15/16's with just him, Ryder & Jude so they will have to switch off doubling legging. It's going to be a good season!!

Ethan's Graduation Party

We threw Ethan a graduation party! It's been hell of a week... felt more like a whirlwind to be honest. The party turned out great. It was an open house style with desserts & drinks. We had family, friends and neighbors come over to celebrate. The house looked great as we showed off all his awards, Achievements, pictures etc. We had a slide show up on the TV that had various pictures from birth until now. Some moms got teary eyed watching it. Ethan scored close to $400 from everyone! The party was meant to be from 6-9pm but of course it went way past that. People left close to 11pm and then some of the boys' friends left at midnight. I was so exhausted from the day of cleaning, decorating, socializing and the cleaning up again. Fred had a headache most of the day and went to bed around 10pm. I was so happy he powered through as much as he could to be at the party. Ethan had friends from SCVYO which was awesome. I didn't take enough pictures of everyone who came but we had so many people come! This was the final piece to the big graduation puzzle and now it's all over. WHEW! 

Macie's Recorder Concert

 Macie had a recorder concert bright & early the morning after Ethan's graduation. She did so well and they played so many songs including Blackbird by The Beatles. She practiced diligently and was so excited to have us there! 

Last Day of School for Caleb & Asher

Last day of 8th grade for Asher and 11th grade for Caleb! 

Asher had a great year doing Kid Flix (the morning show for Placerita Jr High) and being in Beginning Band. He started with clarinet but switched to percussion more than halfway through the year. Because he's loved doing band, he's decided to do Hart Regiment next year at Hart HS. He's looking forward to being with Caleb but a little intimidated and overwhelmed by it all. He's already made some friends doing Band Clinic after school to gear up for Regiment which is great. He physically has changed so much over the past school year. His face structure really has shifted due to his multiple orthodontic appliances.

 

Caleb had a great year in 11th grade. He dated Miley DelHoyo for pretty much the whole year but broke it off right after prom. He was active in film, making fun videos with his friends Ryder, Jackson & Oren. He's really discovered his love of clothes and fashion and buys clothes all the time. He also learned he loves driving and driving with his friends to anywhere and everywhere. He did great in swim and ended the year with excellent grades. He is sad some of his friends will be gone next year since they graduated but is excited to be a senior and doing all the fun senior things!

Ethan Graduates High School

The day finally came. Ethan graduated high school. Fred & I cried a few times in the morning & in the beginning of the ceremony but those tears were more just happy and proud tears. The build up of the actual graduation seemed to be worse than the day of. Honestly, the whole day just felt surreal & I didn't know what I felt. It was just an emotional blur but was soon as we saw him walking out, all I felt was pride and happiness. It's been such an emotional build up leading up to this and it's wild the day finally came. But Ethan is ready for the next thing. I see that. And I'm excited to see what that will be. I've been learning to focus on the positives of all these changes because they happen whether I want it to or not. It is bittersweet but life goes on... It was a nice ceremony and Ethan was in red which meant he was an Honor Scholar graduate which means his cumulative GPA was 4.0+. His ending GPA was a 4.38. He has grown so much over the past 4 years, in so many ways and he's made such good friends and memories. He's always been so mature for his age so it just felt right that he was graduating and that where at this point in life now. I'm so happy for him and how much he has accomplished in his 18 years of life. He's incredible and I love being his mom. Happy Graduation Day to Ethan!
