Asher Starts Nursery!

YAY! Asher started Nursery!! I feel like from the moment your child turns 1 it's a countdown until they can go to Nursery because going to church between that time is a PAIN. They are bored, wiggle, don't sit still, cry, miss naps, it's just not fun taking a child who is 1 year old- 17 months old. So, I was THRILLED when Asher could go into Nursery. I actually haven't had to deal with him for a while because Fred's been doing Asher duty since I do singing time for Primary but still, I'm excited for him! He looked so handsome on his first day. He's getting to be such a fun big boy.

Nursery is hard work. (That's a bubbles lid from Caleb's bubbles he got at church.)

Here's an Asher update:

- Loves to wrestle his brothers

- He uses the sign for milk whenever he wants a drink or some food.

- Says (but not frequently) Mama, Dada, Hi, No, Ball, 

- Claps when you say Yay or Good Job!

- Copies everything you do... banging on the table, clapping, raising hands etc

- Can follow simple instructions like when he's asked to put something away, go somewhere, throw something in the trash etc.

- Loves the plunger and the trash can. YUCK.

- Points to things he can't reach but wants.

- Moves the chairs to climb on the table and counters. Not happy about this...

- Doesn't like to be left alone. He now realizes when he's left with a babysitter or that I'm leaving. He cries.

- Goes to bed at 8pm, is woken up about 6:30am.

- Naps usually in the morning now but if he misses that nap then takes one in the afternoon.

- Doesn't like the monkey backpack. Going to Disneyland is getting a little tougher because he wants to walk and not be held in line which is frustrating because he wanders off.

- IN LOVE with his blankie. He wants to take it everywhere and always hold it. I'm so glad he's gotten attached to it. Both the older boys got attached with an animal and blankie. 

- Loves anything that plays music and dances when he hears music.

- In size 18-24 month clothes

- Still cuddles me once in a while. I love those moments.

The other day I was reviewing Ethan's school work and I looked up and saw this. :)

 Always falling asleep while eating if he doesn't nap in the morning...
