Ethan starts Kindergarten

I can't even believe I'm writing this post. I want to say it went by so quickly but really it didn't. I've had Ethan all to myself, no preschool, for 5 1/2 years. It seems ages ago that I gave birth to this little boy. Him being a little baby is a blur. He was so ready for school and so was I. We were both ready to enter a new phase in life and be apart of the school world. But that being said, I still can't believe this day actually came. I got teary eyed a few times during the whole day and so did Fred. It was all very nostalgic for us, especially me.  I'm still going to miss not having my little Linker at home but I want him to go experience new things. Ethan was just SO excited. Of course he was shy and didn't talk to anyone but he did say bye to his teacher and thank you. Like basketball, it will take him time to open up and talk. His teachers name is Mrs. Werthmuller and she is so nice and tall!

We went for about an hour and a half today and it was all orientation kind of stuff. Fred and I were with him the whole time until the last 10-15 minutes while we heard a brief presentation from the PTA. It was so fun and exciting. It was cute to see all these little kids in new clothes, shoes, bows, sweaters and ribbons. The PTA handed out tissues (I read the message it came with and cried while reading it- haha). Tomorrow he goes for his first full day (9:15-1:08pm). His friend, Jack, from summer school is in his class and he was excited about that. I'm glad he knows someone. He sits next to a little Asian girl named Holly and he is cubbie #24. We look forward to this year and venturing into this new phase in life. Elementary school was always so fun and I'm so excited to volunteer, be a room mom and go on field trips.

Checking to see who his teacher is the day before school!

Brothers! (Asher has no shirt because he just spilled all over it)

No backpack

With backpack.

Made kissing hands from the story we read. We then taped them in his folder he got so he can see them everyday and know we love him.

Walking to the car after a fun day.

  My sweet Kindergartner.

Ok, now I'm getting teary eyed again...
