Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day. Some people don't like the hype and think love should be shown everyday. I couldn't agree more. But I do love that there is a special day to celebrate love. It's fun. Fred and I both do Valentine's Day and have gone a little bit bigger in the past with gifts and such but this year was more low key. 

He bought me a 'snuggle kit' with my favorite candy, chocolates and new PJ's. He knows I love to snuggle, and he doesn't really like to so it was a sweet gift. I bought him some new slippers (can you tell we go for comfort gifts now a days?) and made him a 4 course romantic dinner as well as wrote him a poem. I post my poem because it was personal and for only him but I think it turned out well. It took me a long time to write. I was inspired to write a poem after reading the Matched Series. The main character is very inspired by poetry and it's a big aspect of the book. 

So that was our Valentine's Day. I love him. He loves me. Life is crazy and sometimes get's in the way but our love is still there and that's what matters most.
