May 8-13th, Fred and I were in Hawaii. It was an amazing trip. Fred won an award through work called 'The Peak Achievement Award'. To give you an idea about how elite this award is, only .5% of the company wins it each year. There are about 50,000 T-Mobile employees and only 200 employees won. You have to have incredible work performance AND be nominated by your piers. Usually people will only get 2 votes and Fred got 5! So, if you win the company takes you to Maui for an all inclusive trip. They pay for you food and luggage to and from the airport, they pay for you food at Maui, they serve breakfast every morning, they pay for a luau, awards night, welcome party, excursions, gifts to your room every day etc etc. It was BY FAR the most amazing trip I have ever been on. It was incredible and all FREE!!! I am beyond proud of Fred for winning and all the hard work he does. It's true, he works a lot and is gone a lot but I know that the company sees that, appreciates it and rewards him for it...and me too.
The CEO was talking to everyone at the awards night and said (to the winners) that one of the reasons they are here is because of the person sitting right next to them that they brought. They have sacrificed, supported and loved them making it possible for them to do their jobs and do it well. I really appreciated that. He was hilarious and so nice. We met all the big C's (CEO, CFO, COO etc) and they were all so nice! I felt like a little fish in a BIG ocean.
Gifts we got: sunglasses (price ranges form $175-$300!), basket of chocolates, treats, drinks etc, T-Mobile bamboo surf board shaped cutting board, a bamboo picture frame, towels, t-shirts, hats, key chains, water bottles, and all the winners got the new iPhone5...yeah...
Leaving LA
Even the bathroom sign was cute!
We're here!
That's the second wettest mountain in the world. That's why Fred is holding up 2...or a peace sign...whichever you prefer.
Arrived at our hotel which was GORGEOUS and expensive! We would never been able to afford to stay somewhere like that on our own.
Eating lunch at the cabana at the hotel
When we arrived in Hawaii...sorry these are out of order...

We found a friend.
Just hanging out at the beach that was steps away from the hotel.
Welcome party night with a great dinner, band, vendors and parrots.
Amazing morning.
New shades. T-Mobile gave us a gift each night and the first night we got a certificate to pick out new sunglasses the next day. They run anywhere from $175-$305...we asked a vendor. They were Maui Jims and they are so nice!!
On our way to go snorkeling
This is a dock that was damaged in a hurricane years ago and is now just sitting on the ocean floor. I took these just leaning over the boat. The water is that clear.
Holding a jellyfish
Jellyfish!
We went snorkeling at Lanai. It's another island about 9 miles from Maui. It was amazing. I saw fish of every color and sea turtles!! My favorite animal!! I even touched one which you're not suppose to do... opps. But it was amazing and surreal. On our way back from snorkeling, we saw dolphins! TONS of them!
Having lunch at a restaurant down the way from our hotel.

Luau night!
Rainbow!
Even the 'virgin' drinks were pretty!
Dancers! (The PCC Luau in Ohau is way better)
REAL root beer... tasted different... but by the end of it, it was tasty.
Shopping.
Awards night
Such amazing beauty everywhere.
My winner!
The CEO
The winners from sales operation services.
We rented a car on Mother's Day and drove around most of the island.
We drove about a 1/4 of the Road of Hana. It was crazy rainy that day so the waterfalls were closed but we decided to get out anyway at different places. It was so unbelievably beautiful. So green! We saw crazy rivers just going through the mountain and little waterfalls here and there. It was such a fun day and we got soaking wet!
This is the biggest Banyan Tree in the U.S. It was so beautiful and you could just feel the life running through it when you touched it.
After we had dinner on the beach, we went for one final swim. A good way to end the vacation.
