Taking Initiative

I hated our fireplace. It had paint splattered on it from the carelessness of the workers. It just needed some help. My friend had stained hers and it looked so much nicer and I wanted to do that too but knew I couldn't with my landlords restrictions. But then I realized, he probably won't even notice it if I did and if anything, I'm making it look better! So, I went ahead and did it. It looks so much nicer and cleaner. I didn't tell Fred either and he didn't even notice for about a week. Men. Really? Whatever.

Even though we rent, I still want to make this place look nice and feel homey. I can't wait till we get a house and I can do what I want and change things. I'm pretty handy if you show me how and what to do. I get that from my dad. Fred is always so nervous to make holes, and change things. I gee yo with constant change to our home with paint, wood, pictures, walls, etc etc so I'm not so scared to make changes. Anyway, I love it.

This is while it was drying so nothing was on it. I have decor on top again and it looks much better.
