Basketball

We just started basketball season (again).  Ethan did basketball 2 summers ago as his first sport ever. After a season T-Ball and karate for Ethan and Caleb we took a little break. 

Now we're doing basketball again and it's Caleb's first time. They both did great and Ethan has really gotten a lot better since last time. The only thing with community recreation is you don't always get a super coach and it's all on a volunteer basis. I'm trying to talk Fred into being a coach for next season. Ethan's coach seems to be good and Caleb's was a little eh. We'll see how it goes. 

Anyway, the boys have learned that Fred played basketball since he was a little boy up until he was a teenager which makes them want to do it even more. They are all about it. So, to help with their skill, we bought a big new basketball hoop for the backyard. It's massive and awesome. It took 4 hours to put together but we did it and all enjoyed playing basketball after. I look forward to watching them improve and have fun in a sport that Fred is so passionate about. Fred was beaming and so excited while he watched them play their games. It was adorable. I hope we've found our family sport but if not, that's okay too. I've made it very clear that just because Daddy likes it so much doesn't mean they have to. But I think they do anyway. Haha!
