Happy 4th of July!

This year, our families didn't have any big plans for the 4th. We've gone up to SCV every year for either swimming, fireworks, picnic etc but this year no one was doing anything. Lame. Way lame. So,  I decided since we've lived here 3 years and hadn't seen this huge lake fireworks show and faire, that we were going to do that and make the best of it just being our family. We went to Subway for lunch which was fun then headed to the lake about 12:30pm. Perfect time to go, I learned!

Fred's back is all messed up and he's been having major pain so we stayed at the lake and held down the fort while the boys and I went up to the faire. It was great! We ran into Caleb's best bud, Will Brown and his dad Ryan. His wife, Jessica and their 2 other girls were out of town so it was just Ryan and Will. He asked if they could hang out with us and get into the lake later on (non members can't get into the lake until after 3pm) and we said sure! He gave us some tickets for rides, which was great, and then about an hour later, they met us at the lake. We all swam and ordered pizza then about 8pm we left and headed to a spot Ryan had been saving for fireworks which he head was great. So, we parked up from the lake and walked right up to his spot. It was a perfect spot! We did sparklers and some other fireworks then watched the big show at 9pm. It was a long, super fun day. I'm glad we ran into them and the boys had a friend to play with. The fireworks show was long and totally worth it! 

It was one of our best 4th of July's ever. It was so much fun. I think next year we'll do it again. Sorry family... You can start making the drive if you want to see us.
