Happy 6th Birthday, Caleb!!

Thursday, Caleb turned 6. How did that happen?! He'll be starting 1st grade! What? I'm not ready! Caleb decided he wanted to go to Disneyland for his birthday. Fred had to work but we did presents before he left. Caleb has been asking for BeyBlades ever since he played them at his friends house. He's been saving up for them. So, we got him some for his special day. He loved them.

After that we left for Disneyland. He picked out every ride/attraction/show. He loved being in charge and deciding what we were going to do. People were wishing him a happy birthday and I think he was a little freaked out by it. They kept saying his name and he'd look at me like, "how do they know my name?" and I kept having to remind him his name was on his birthday pin.

After we came home for dinner and cake. He requested mac and cheese. Can't argue with that! Asher fell asleep on the way home and stayed asleep the whole night but he helped himself to cake in the morning while we were all still sleeping.

Caleb asked for a dinosaur cake and we looked up some ideas on Pinterest together. He chose one every close to the one I actually made. The morning of his birthday I showed him his cake and he was SO excited and amazed. It'e so funny because one of the things they look forward to the most is their birthday cake. They start requesting themes and such weeks before. They think I'm this master baker and can just whip up any cake. It's sweet they think so highly of my limited skills. I've always just made their cakes and tried my best to make them themed. Also to try to expand my very simple cake skills. I love making cakes and would do it for a living if I could. But I have no real schooling or tools so I just buy the cake box mix and hope for the best each time. I think they turn out well enough. But when they start to get bigger, I may have to up the skill set.

Anyway, he loved it and we ate cake then went to bed.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Woo!
