Haircuts

It's SO nice that my sister is a great hairdresser. We went to Trevor's baptism and right before, Lindsey cut mine, Asher and Ethan's hair. My hair was so long and I was really tired of it. It had been growing for years and I'd just trim it here and there. I was wearing it up 90% of the time and when it was down I'd want to put it up. I was just SO over it. I needed a major change. So, after looking on Pinterest, I found a style and cut I liked. I cut about 12 inches off my hair. Enough to donate it if I wanted. A long ponytails worth.

I LOVE my new haircut. People have told me it makes me look younger (which, hey, can't complain!) and one of my friends even told me she likes me better with short hair. I think I do too. It's easy to do and takes very little time. I wear it down except for when I'm at the gym and I feel lighter. A long time ago I was so attached to my hair. I've learned that it doesn't define me, it's never permanent since hair always grows and I'm more than just my hair. Also, I never pay to get it cut so I don't really care all that much. Lindsey knows me well enough to know what would look best and what I would like.

I don't regret cutting it at all and I just really like it. She cut Ethan's and Asher's too. She surprised me and gave Asher a mohawk. Fred told her to do it. I thought it was hilarious and cute. Ethan looks so handsome and grown up with his new style. He's such a good boy.
