My mom fell this past weekend. She tripped in the night on some steps at my sisters house and landed on her back. She already has a bad back so this was very worrisome. They rushed her to the hospital and found out she fractured her rib, has some tissue damage but also her kidney was infected and full of puss from a kidney stone. She didn't know about the kidney stone. The doctors said it ended up a blessing she fell because if they didn't catch the kidney stone, her kidney could have shut down and died- it was that bad.
I'm sad my moms in pain but so happy that they found this problem. It's hard to see your parents get older and struggle. I love my mom and don't want to think about what life will be like without her. Ethan offered a family prayer the night she fell and I went to visit her the next day. The kids made her cards and she cried when she got them. She really loves my boys and they love her. They were so worried for her.
She's on the mend, thank heavens but it'll be slow going from here. I'm just glad she'll be okay.
