Today was the boys' first day of school. Caleb started 2nd grade with Mrs. Rucker (Ethan's teacher last year) and Ethan started 3rd grade with Mrs. Lane. It's amazing how fast the school years go! I can't believe it!
Caleb was a little nervous the night before and day of. His teacher called this evening and said he was such a great student and so well behaved. Also that she could tell he was a little nervous but had a fantastic day and she's looking forward to getting to know him better. She really is a great teacher and I'm happy Caleb is going to have her this year. He looked so cute on his first day with his new shoes, clothes and glasses.
Ethan was excited because so many of his friends are in his class. His good friends Jack, Addison, Katherine and Sohiel are all in his class. We don't know Mrs. Lane very well yet but I think she's from Hawaii and she has longer gray and white hair. She seems very nice and Ethan said he really likes her. He got his new planner and has to write his daily homework assignments in it. He already started today!
We look forward to this new school year and can't wait to see what the year brings! I'm sad I won't be able to volunteer as much as I'd like since baby #4 will be coming in November but I'm hoping I can still do as much as I can from home and be involved as much as I can in other ways. Here's to a new school year!
