Phantom of the Opera

For my birthday, Fred got me tickets to see Phantom of the Opera. The day finally came to actually go and see the show. I've seen this play before but Fred hadn't. We sat in the middle toward the back on the first level. The tempo of all the music was a but fast but overall, the play was amazing. This is one of my favorite musicals. It's so nice to have a husband who loves musicals as much as I do. It's something we really connect with and can talk about for a long time.

Dinner we had at this pizzeria which was really good. Lots of fresh ingredients and we got brussels sprouts to share as well. LA is so gross and dirty. It's a shame to see such iconic things surrounded by such filth.

We were talking on the drive and over dinner about California in general and how we want to give our kids so much more than we can offer them while living here... such as a big home, big yard, variety of opportunities we could give them if we lived in a place that was less expensive with more nature close by. We love the ocean and lake and the beauty CA has to offer but while visiting Wisconsin, I've realized there are things you can get other places you can't get in CA. Anyway, we talked about seriously presenting his boos with the option to move once things were more established here in CA. Fred has been visiting Texas a lot for work and says its so beautiful, no home and sales tax, big yards, green, and conservative. Something we would like for our children. Not that were close minded people but a state that appreciates America, is patriotic, conservative in their views and a more family friendly environment. In Wisconsin you get a more home town feel- something you don't get in CA. Plus we hate hate hate the traffic. I think we were given the opportunity to move with this job and keep our salary I would seriously consider it. I know it would be hard to move away from our parents and family but that isn't enough to stop me from giving my kids something more. Anyway, something to start thinking about.

Back to the play... It was amazing, wonderful, beautiful and we loved it. I am 23 weeks in these pictures. And I was so happy I brought my sandals to wear while walking to dinner. It's almost time for me to put the high heels away until baby comes.
