On Sunday, February 7th, 2016 Macie Amelia was blessed by her daddy. It was beautiful blessing talking about how much she is loved by her family and extended family. He blessed her with health, the Light of Christ and an worthy eternal companion to one day help her return to Heavenly Father.
We didn't have tons of family show up which was kinda of a bummer but turned out okay. We had both sets of grandparents, Aunt Julie and her family, Great Aunt Kelly Allen and Great Grandma Allen. It was a beautiful day. Afterward, we enjoyed a taco salad bar and the Super Bowl.
Macie was dressed in a dress that was handmade by my mother in law, Kathy. Her headband was handmade by my best friend, Emily Torgeson and her bracelet was given to her by her Great Aunt Kelly Allen. She was wrapped in the same blanket that her brothers were when they were blessed. It was handmade by the great (x4?) granddaughter of the Prophet Joseph Smith. She looked so beautiful. She didn't cry during the blessing which was great.
It gave my heart such joy to see Macie getting blessed by her daddy. It was such a sweet day and I'm so glad to have had the family that we did, there.
