Happy 5 Months, Macie!

Macie recently turned 5 months old. It's going by so fast. She's had a lot of growth and changes happen in the last month.

*She can now roll over back and forth. She doesn't do it all the time and certainly doesn't like doing it but it has happened and is happening more often.

*She weighs about 12 pounds (is my guess).

*She fits in some 0-3 month clothes still, mostly 3 months and some 3-6 months.

*She is pretty much formula fed. I only pump maybe once a day for her and even then it isn't a lot. She's tried applesauce (which she semi liked), rice cereal (which she didn't like), bananas (she liked the best) and avocado (which she threw up). I've decided to hold off any more 'food' until she's older.

*She spits up ALL THE TIME and her clothes always have puke on them. It makes it difficult to keep her outfits looking clean and cute.

*She has started to become interested in toys and wanting to put things into her mouth.

*She can sit up for a few seconds but eventually falls over. She will sit in a Bumbo but mostly likes to be held and standing.

* She is still swaddled and night and nap time. She loves being swaddled.

* She can now sleep through the night (as of now she has for 3 nights in a row). Fred went out of town and Asher slept with me and when she cried, I just left her. 1st night was about 20 mins of crying. 2nd night was about 10 mins and then the next 3 nights she just didn't wake up. I'm hoping it sticks! She was waking up once around 3/4am for a short time.

*She loves to be strapped on in the carrier.

*She mimics mouth movements and babbles.

*She has giggled a few times.

*Likes to watch TV with brothers.

*Usually naps from 9-11am and 3-5pm. The middle time is a little gray. We're still figuring that out. She falls asleep for a little during that time but not always. She doesn't nap for long periods of time unless she's swaddled in her crib. She usually sleeps from 7pm-7am.

*I call her Ms. Mooie, Moozer, Moo, Ms. Moo, Sweet Thing, Love Bucket, Mooie, Sweet Sweet.

Overall, she is an easy baby and so sweet. It is hard sometimes dealing with a baby with older kids but we're so happy she's a part of our family now. It is so fun to experience a girl and all that comes with having a girl. I don't know what I would have done if #4 was a boy. I love my sweet girl. She's my best friend and makes me so happy. She keeps me motivated. I hope we're always best friends.
