Happy 1st Birthday, Macie!

Macie turned 1 on Sunday! Wow, where did the time go?! It went by so quickly. The week leading up to Macie's birthday, Fred was out of town. We had a very busy week and I was so emotional the whole week. When her birthday finally came, I was so emotional. I think it's because she's our only girl and our last baby so this is our last "1st birthday" for us. It's an emotional thing. While I'm sad she's gotten so big so fast, I am enjoying her at each stage. It's so fun to see your kids grow and learn everyday.

Before church we did her traditional birthday picture. I took her picture with her unicorn like I always have with each passing month leading up to this particular birthday. Since she was so wiggly, we had to have the whole family behind me trying to get her to smile and watch them. She looked so cute all ready for church. After church, she opened her presents and we had dinner and she had her birthday cupcake. Daddy frosted them and they were beautiful! ;) She loved her new musical tea set and her activity walker. She took about 4 steps on her birthday and is slowly getting better. She's teething right now so she hasn't been into walking as much. She loved her cupcake and was double fisting it!

It was a fun, exciting day. The boys were so excited to sing to her, have her open her presents and just the fact that it was her 1st birthday. It was really sweet. We all love this little girl so much. We are all smitten by her. She is the perfect ending to this chapter of our lives. She is the greatest gift and my forever buddy. We love you Macie. Thank you for coming to our family.
