Ethan is such a blessing to our family. From the beginning, he has been an easy kid. He always listens, helps, obeys, and is so responsible. I can really count on him for so much. He is such a good kid. I'm so proud of him and all that he has accomplished in his 10 years of life. He is so respectful to other adults and I'm always hearing what a wonderful student and all around boy he is. And I couldn't agree more. Heavenly Father blessed me with a fantastic son. He loves the Gospel, and has a strong testimony. He is on his way to becoming a fine young man. I couldn't imagine my life without him. He made me a mother and I love him with all my heart. He was the best surprise anyone could ever get.
For his actual birthday, he had a playdate with his friends Jack Karakash and Mikey Hill. His brothers and Jack's sister Emma came along too. Mom visited with her friends while they all played. Then we sang to him and had cupcakes. Later that night, we went to Lucille's BBQ for his birthday dinner. After that, we came home and he opened his presents. He got a new Zelda light for his room, a new lightsaber, a Harry Potter coloring book, a reading chair and ottoman, a fun fact book and a pocket knife from Daddy.
On Saturday, Nana and Papa came down to help celebrate. We went ice skating, then Yogurtland. Then we opened presents at home and visited. They gave him a fun Harry Potter book about the characters and the Hardy Boys collection. Before Nana and Papa left, we got some In N Out. It was a fun day. Ethan's friend, Jack, came to ice skate with us. It was hard for them all at first since none of them have been before and Ethan was getting discouraged. But after they all kept trying, they all got it! I was so proud they didn't give up! Ethan was doing so well by the end of our time skating. Fred will be taking them more often since they enjoyed it so much.
