On August 22nd, school started. Mom was ready. The boys would tell you they weren't but they were. Ethan was excited. Caleb and Asher weren't. That morning we got up extra early so we could all get ready, walk them in, meet teachers and most importantly, FIND PARKING!
Before leaving, Fred gave the boys blessings for the upcoming school year. I'm so glad he remembered and did that for them. They were sweet blessings.
Ethan is now in 5th grade and has Mrs. Donsker as his teacher. Mrs. Donsker is one of his best friends moms. Her daughter Addie is not in his class but he was really excited to have Addie's mom as his teacher. Lindy (Mrs. Donsker) is my friend so I'm interested on how this year will go.
Caleb is now in 4th grade and has Ethan's old teacher, Mr. Gruenewald. So far, Caleb is LOVING having Mr. G as a teacher. Ethan talked a pretty big talk about him and how great of a teacher he is so let's hope Caleb feels the same. I think he will do well with Mr. G. He is a great teacher.
Asher is now in 1st grade and has Caleb's old teachers, Mrs. Regan and Mrs. Brooks. On the first day, he was nervous and a bit scared. But having both Daddy and I there really helped. He enjoys playing on the big kid playground and doing the monkey bars. He walks up to pick up line to meet his brothers and he quickly got right into the routine of things, being a 'big kid' now. Although waking him up in the morning seems to be a long process. He is tired and has very long days. I'm so excited to have him be with Mrs. Regan and Mrs. Brooks. They are such fun teachers!
I am now at home with just Macie. We do one drop off at 7:45am and one pick up at 2:05pm. It makes it so nice for me only having to do each way once. Next year, Ethan will be in middle school and I will have to add on another school! So, for this year, I am very much enjoying them all at Castille and doing one pick up/one drop off. This will be the last year that all the boys are together in one school. It's pretty special.
Macie is enjoying her free time, watching what she pleases and having all the attention of mom. Once school is out, it's a different story so we enjoy our time together.
