Primary Program & Pumpkin Carving

The boys recently had their primary program. This also was Ethan's last primary program and it sure was one we'll always remember. I was feeling really proud that all the kids were dressed, looked nice, hair done etc as we were on our way to church. The kids were arguing and fighting a bit but what else is new. However, in the church parking lot, Ethan smacked Caleb in the face with his scriptures. Caleb got a massive bloody nose and as much as we tried to save his clothes, blood eventually dripped on his nice clean white shirt. I was furious. Fred rushed Caleb to the bathroom and I yelled at Ethan in the parking lot. Eventually Ethan and Asher took their places on the stand for the program (Ethan all mad and upset) and right before it started Caleb walked in embarrassed. He sat next to me, not wanting to go up there since his shirt was bloody. Thankfully, Brother Breton who was in the bathroom witnessing Caleb get cleaned up, was so sweet and got him some giant Christ stickers to put over the blood spot. Caleb then went up and participated in the program. I didn't get pictures of the boys because we had that giant ordeal. And while I was so mad and upset in the moment, I know I'll eventually find myself laughing over it all. Nana an Papa were there too and it made for a memorable day. After church, they came over for an early dinner and to carve pumpkins with us. We enjoyed having them. We don't see them a whole lot. The kids loved spending the afternoon with them and showing them all their latest toys and talents.
