Asher's tortoise finally went back home to Heavenly Father. He had been sick since we got him (unbeknown to us). He got worse so we took him to the vet. We gave him shots, medication daily, sun soaks and water soaks. He got a little better but still was not 100%. After a bout of better health, he just got so sick again. I knew his time was coming soon by how he looked. The very next day, we found Toby had passed away. Asher made him a box and we laid him to rest in the woods across the street from our house. We said a prayer, said what we loved about Toby and placed a rock on his grave sight. We will miss Toby. Asher especially. He was a sweet and good pet. Maybe one day we'll get another tortoise but we can say we loved Toby and did what we could for him. But now he's with Heavenly Father again and best of all, he's totally healthy again. Goodbye, Toby. We'll miss you.
