Caleb had his 5th Grade Morning of Memories for his last day at Castille. My favorite part is when they say goodbye to their past teachers. He got to hug all his teachers except for his 1st grade ones since they had left for a different school a while ago. Each teacher held onto him so tight and gave him so much love and encouragement. He's had some pretty incredible teachers. Even his 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. McPherson, who has since retired, came back! It was incredible to see these teachers show genuine love to Caleb. Mr. Gruenewald, his 4th grade teacher, hugged him for an especially long time. Mr. G was Caleb's favorite teacher and Mr. G really loved Caleb. I started to get pretty emotional when I saw them loving my boy. I'm so thankful for teachers that truly love and cared for him and our family. After Caleb got to walk through the tunnel of kids. He made sure to give Asher a high five.
After we watched the Morning of Memories video. Caleb got to stand up in front of parents and fellow class members and say what his favorite thing about castle was. He said his favorite was Lake Day. Most kids either said Lake Day or Outdoor Science School. The video was pretty cool but not as sentimental as Ethan's. Caleb's was very modern, high tech and cutting edge which was cool but didn't have that homemade by a parent, sentimental factor to it. Afterward he got a picture with his teacher and a friend and was ready to say goodbye.
It's pretty hard to believe he's finished Castille. I can still picture him my little Siffy Woo. I don't know where the time has gone. But he's ready for a change. My favorite years for Caleb at Castille were 2nd grade with Mrs. Rucker and 4th grade with Mr. Gruenewald. He made huge strides in learning and really enjoyed those teachers. Thanks for the memories, Castille!
