CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
We didn’t win. Not even close. 🤣 But man, what a season!
As I saw Ethan swim his last race as a Dolphin and jump out of the pool, tears just started flowing from my eyes. He ages out this year. He only had 3 years to be a Dolphin. It’s gone way too fast. 🥹 Seeing your child become too old for a program can really crush your mama heart. I was not prepared for that.
This program has been and continues to be life changing for our kids and family. Yes, it’s intense. Yes, it’s tiring. Yes, it’s a lot. But the community, support and love this program provides our family and neighborhood is priceless. All my kids have not only made life long friends, they’ve learned to swim (and swim well!), work hard and be valued and loved members of this special team. My sweet girl has beautiful and amazing young women to look up to. My oldest boys have mentored the younger kids and their younger brother. Parents all support, look after and cheer for each others kids…It’s incredible. We still feel so lucky to have landed here. It makes spending 9 hours at a meet and then another 4 at the after party on my street all in one day completely worth it. 😜
