Snow Day at Mt. Pinos

The kids had a 4 day weekend and one of the days, we decided to do our annual snow day trip. We left early at 7am on Sunday morning, getting to the mountain about 8:15ish. We ended up leaving about 1:30pm.

There was tons of snow. Fred and the kids had a blast sledding for hours. We saw that there were already so many snowmen that were made from people who had come before and I had Asher take a picture of one of the biggest ones! It was HUGE!

We also saw some people who had slept over night and they told us they built an igloo. It took 5 men building for 3 hours. They even slept in it and told us we could come check it out since they were packing up to leave. It was huge and so cool!

It was a fun and tiring day. We were all starving since it was past lunch time as we headed down the mountain and enjoyed some burgers at Wendy's that's right near the freeway. Everyone ate in silence and we were all done eating so fast.

I had forgotten how pretty the snow was. I'm still not a fan and am good to only go about once a year but overall, I didn't get all that cold which was great. We also took Ruby who had so much fun running around in the snow for a bit but mostly she stayed in the backpack that I wore.
