Christmas Card Letter 2024

🎄 Happy Holidays! 🎄

This year, we spent a lot of quality time as a family traveling & creating lasting memories together. We went to a Renaissance Faire, San Diego, an epic trip to Kauai, OC Fair & an Imagine Dragons concert for an early Christmas present! Here’s a brief recap on what everyone’s been up to this past year…

Ethan: He will be 18 in January & will graduate high school with a 4.3 GPA in June 2025. He performed at Carnegie Hall with the Santa Clarita Youth Orchestra in April where he had a cello solo & collaborated with his fellow musicians on composing a piece that they played there. Kirsten went to New York to surprise him for his performance. He worked as an SCV Lifeguard in the summer. He also taught kid/adult swim lessons & aerobics classes. Ethan loves being on the Hart Swim Team with his brother & friends. He has started a band called, ‘Ethan Everts & The Califourians.’ He has music out of Spotify & his music continually plays on our local radio station. You can follow his music journey on Instagram at ethan_evertsmusic. He just finished applying to colleges for Music Composition & is in the middle of doing college tours. Kirsten is in denial about it.

Caleb: He turned 16 in August & is a Junior. He was a Jr Coach this past summer for our neighborhood swim team & is doing fantastic in school with his Honors & AP classes. He continues to love being on the Hart Swim Team & playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends. Caleb just started a job at Old Navy & is looking forward to a consistent paycheck. He’s such a happy & funny kid. He currently has his permit & will take his driving test soon. He’s also been tagging along on the college tours & starting to think about what he’d like to do post high school. Kirsten is in denial about this too.

Asher: He turned 13 in March & is in 8th grade. Asher is excelling in school, growing like a weed & starting to mature. He enjoys playing clarinet in the school band. Over summer, he participated in our neighborhood swim team where he grew to really love swimming & gained a desire to get even better. So much so that he is now in Club Swim with some of his friends & has improved so much in such a short time! He’s looking forward to being in high school with Caleb this next year doing swim team & possibly Band too. Asher is adventurous & loves being outside with his friends, playing drums, doing flips on the trampoline & being in nature. He got braces this year & is starting to come into his own.

Macie: She just turned 9 in November & is in 3rd grade. She is currently in dance & just started Girl Scouts. She participated in our neighborhood swim team over summer as well. She is a bright student & reader, reading at a 5th grade level! She is very much a girly girl loving all things pink & feminine. She has grown so much this past year. Her favorite place to be is home, surrounded by her family.

Fred & Kirsten: On August 18th, Kirsten & Fred celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. Fred got a Traeger for Father’s Day & the family has been reaping the rewards with delicious ribs, brisket & more. He enjoys hiking, biking & relaxing in the hot tub when he’s not working. Kirsten loves reading, crafting & date nights. She continues to volunteer when & where she can at the kids’ schools & activities while keeping up with things at home, being a chauffeur & coordinating the family calendar. Kirsten & Fred went to New York in May with Fred’s work & enjoyed the time away as they explored the city together.

We wish you love & happiness this holiday season & always! Cheers to 2025! Love - The Everts Family
