Dolphins Championship & Awards Night

We had our HOA Swim Team Championship. This season we not only won the championship, we were UNDEFEATED!

It was a great and exciting day. Dad and Ethan stayed for a little bit of it before leaving for a NASCAR race. So, the majority of the time it was Caleb, Asher, Macie & I. Asher had an incredible performance in the 200 Medley Relay which won us the entire relay earning us 6 points (we were expected to win 3rd in that relay). We were neck & neck with the other teams the entire meet but won the entire Championship by 6 points. The 6 points we got from the relay that SAVED us. It was incredible and he dominated!! Because of all this, he received Swimmer of the Week at Awards Night! He has improved so much this past season! He enjoyed being a Jr Coach and seeing the benefits from all his hard work doing Paseo Club swim in the off season. I'm so proud of how hard he's worked! He won us the championship!!

Caleb did a great job double legging half of the time for all his relays. It was either him or Jude double legging this whole season and they did great! He had a really special season with it being his last and hanging out with his best buds everyday. He also tied for high points for the 15/16 boys. He aged out this year & gave a very sweet & heartfelt speech. He did so well this season & of course I bawled watching him swim for the last time as a Dolphin during the Championship & during the end of season video that included his aging out tribute. I love/hate watching my kids grow up. He then jumped in the pool with all the other kids that aged out too. A tradition they all love.

Macie learned from Ethan how to do flip turns and she’s been trying to do them now when she races. She now does IM’s & 50’s for her events & is getting to be such a strong swimmer! She dives beautifully & I’m so proud of her consistency this past season. She met some new girls that moved into the neighborhood and had such a fun time spending time at the pool with them.

After champs, the kids did a parade- a special treat we only get to do if/when we win. The boys rode in Taylor Boyd's car. They loved it. As they did this, I got the street ready for the Champs Block Party. We enjoyed good music, yummy snacks, delicious drinks and celebrated our championship win!!

This program is such a beautiful gift to our family. Our kids always have such a memorable summer with their neighbors & friends living their best lives. I’m forever grateful to this special & incredible program.
