Halloween Party

We had our annual Halloween street party. The final one we will have, for the neighborhood at least.
We went out with a bang. We had a food truck come, a bounce house, photo booth, fire pit, games and hired a DJ. We had Halloween contests for different types of costumes, with little awards & made a spiderweb walk through as you enter the party. Since our kids are getting older, we decided that it was time to pass on the torch for other people to host a neighborhood Halloween party. It's been really fun but it's a lot of work to get it all ready.

Macie's besties from school came along with their families. Caleb & Ryder best costume duo & gave speeches as Batman & Joker. It was hilarious. I made most of my costume & Caleb helped me with the headpiece. I went as Dani from Midsommar & Fred was the boyfriend from the movie. Macie went as a KPOP Demon Hunter & Asher wasn't there at all because he was at a Band Competition. Ethan, of course, was at college. LOL Lots of Caleb's friends came for a bit & then they all left to go to another Halloween party. One that didn't have little kids.

It's been about 5 years of doing this Halloween Party & it's been a lot of fun. I don't know if our kids realize how special their childhood is with having stuff like this but I hope so or at least realize it when they're older. We still want to have a Halloween dress up party but it'll be smaller scale with just close friends. I love dressing up too much to give up an excuse not to!
