Life Taken Through Photos

Here are some random photos that best describe life around here.

This is one of my favorite pictures of me and Ashie. I love he's actually smiling like a big boy. He is such a cuddle bug and prefers to cuddle me. I love that.

His favorite movie is Wreck It Ralph.
If he had his way all the time, he'd watch it at least twice a day!

So, this is a funny story. Our power went out about 4pm. I went to the neighbors and some had power, some didn't. I eventually found out that 120 homes in our area were without power and it would come on anywhere from 11pm-2am. GREAT. I figured we'd play felt bible stories since TV or any electronics were out of the picture. That was fun and lasted 35 mins. I didn't want to start dinner if maybe the power came back on (I hadn't gone to the neighbors yet so didn't know if or when it would come back on). I figured we'd do a pizza night. Well, I couldn't open the garage door. At all. That's when the kids started to freak out and ask, "Are we going to die?!" Wow, we need to be better prepared for emergencies. I order pizza online and it came when it was getting dark. I had no flashlights and only fake candles that don't give hardly any light. So, we basically ate in the dark. I had my phone flashlight but didn't want to waste the battery. It was a good teaching moment and lesson for me. We were NOT prepared. Since then, I've gotten candles and flashlights and other things we will need. The worst part was that Fred didn't get home until late that night so I was left with kids who were freaking out, afraid of the dark and who thought we were going to die.
Asher fell asleep naked. It was adorable.
This was during our potty training stage that I ended. More on that in a second.

Woo fell asleep on me. I just love when my boys do that.

So, it was General Conference weekend. We had a 3 day weekend. Asher had been showing interest in the potty and no wanting to wear his diaper. So, I thought it was maybe time to make the switch. The weekend at home went fabulous. He was doing #1 and #2 no problem. We didn't go anywhere over those 3 days. Eventually he was just going himself without telling me. I thought this was going to be a breeze. Then our regular schedule came. I was prepared and had multiple outfits in case of accidents. And... we had lots of them. Since I'm constantly going to and from the older boys school, I needed Asher to go before we left and at certain times so we could prevent accidents. But, he didn't like that. He had accidents everyday, multiple times a day and even pooed in his pants at the school then chucked his poo out onto the kids playground at the school. That was it. I wasn't going to deal with this. So, it's been postponed. I'd rather wait until he's 3 or 3 1/2 and have minimal accidents then deal with that. It almost became like a game to Asher. Anyway, I'm pretty sure if I stuck it out, he may have gotten it but honestly, I just didn't want to deal with it. So, I'm waiting until he's older.

The kids ate crickets. Yeah, disgusting.

Asher was being cute.

Ashie and Daddy sleeping together. So precious.

This happened... it was hilarious and one of my most favorite pictures of Asher.

Ethan did a hike with his boy scout troop. He insisted Daddy take him.
After, they had a pizza party.

Asher usually naps here now a days with pick up and drop off with school. He's a trooper.

For Family Movie Night, we watched Epic and had Chinese food.
I love our movie nights. We do them every weekend and the boys get so excited every time.

I loved this moment.

They all asked me to take pictures of them playing in the backyard.

The kids stole my phone so this happened...
