This year, December 1st landed on a Sunday and since church is at 2pm this year, it was hard to do anything. We decorated after church and I had to quickly put together a dinner which honestly was horrible. Fred even said it was. Ugh. The kids won't even remember so I guess it doesn't matter. I will say it was a little chaotic trying to have them put ornaments up because it was just all 3 of them delving into everything at once and I was getting stressed out. Luckily Fred has more patience than me in that kind of thing and he took over. Overall it was fun and I loved it when the kids were in bed and I could just sit and enjoy our tree and all the lights with Fred.
Our poor tree had all it's lights go out and so we kind of had a makeshift tree with whatever lights we could find. Next Christmas I think we'll do the whole real tree route since we never have before. I think it will be fun. Anyway, here's our makeshift kick off!
Ethan's Christmas list this year. It says:
"Dear Santa,
I want a pirate ship, a carol book, and a fish, and a cat, and a love for everyone and a bird and a mug and a map of the world."
