Ethan is a very clever and smart boy. He asked me for money for the book faire and I told him no. He had just gotten tons of new books that I bought from the Library store. So, he went ahead and asked his dad in a formal letter. It says:
'Can you give me two ten dollars ($20) for the book fair at school. Love, Ethan. To, Dad"
Dad replied back with this:
'I will give you $10 if you help mommy make dinner and keep the house clean tonight.'
I've never seen him work so hard in all his little 6 years of life! He was on top of everything and helped with his brothers. Fred was hoping he would negotiate to try to earn more but I think that's beyond Ethan right now. But lo and behold, he did get some money and he was a happy boy. I give so much credit. He's very clever.
