The beginning of something great...

Two days ago, I started reading Harry Potter to Ethan. I had been looking forward to this for a long time. Since he was born, really. I love Harry Potter and have read the series 4 times. I have always felt a connection to Harry and these books made me fall in love with reading. Whenever I was sad or lonely,  or just wanted to escape to another place, I would go straight to Harry Potter and immediately I felt better. Books are so amazing that way.

We are now beginning chapter 4 of the first book and each night he's been begging me to read more. He gets so excited at certain parts and he is so enthralled with it. I love reading to him and am so incredibly happy that we can enjoy this together and I can pass this on to him. I don't care if he doesn't end up loving them as much as me. I just want him to see how amazing it is to read and the power of a good book. I look forward to where this journey will take us and how this will just strengthen our bond that much more. I love cuddling while reading to him. And I know he loves it too.
