Awards and Flag Leader

At the boys' school, they have assemblies every Wednesday. Today was the last one for the school year and Caleb got picked to be the Flag leader. He got to speak in a microphone and this is what he said...

"Hi, my name is Caleb and what I like to do at home is color and what I like to do at school is Math." Then the girl next to him did the same. Afterward, she gave Caleb back the microphone and he said, "Please rise. Put your right hand over your heart, ready, begin..."

He was SO excited to do this and made sure to practice at home and to get to school extra early. On top of that excitement, Ethan earned 100 points for a reading program at school (hard to do) and both boys were awarded with perfect attendance and zero tardy's. Then Caleb's class came up and sang, "My Country Tis of Thee." while he and Allison (the other flag leader for the day) waved little flags.

What a great way to end the last assembly of the school year! I am so proud of my boys! And honestly a little proud of myself for getting there to school early everyday.

This is Ethan with his best friend, Jack Karakash.
