For Father's Day, Ethan made him some letters and a card. Caleb made him a mug that he drew on and I got him a book he could read with the boys and some tie clips. I knew Fred really has wanted some big price items but I always say no and we never buy them because they are so much money. One of the things he's been wanting for a long time is a new PS4. We have a PS3 but it is really old and makes this horrible humming sound when it's on. It makes it hard to listen to any show or movie you're watching through it.
Anyway, I decided to surprise him and buy him one. I actually got a pretty good deal for it. I got it from Target and it came with a $20 game card toward any game, a new game already programmed in the system and I got 5% off with my Target card so it was actually reasonable compared to other stores. Needless to say, he was SO surprised. This was the first time I actually was able to surprise him AND get him something he really really wanted. I felt so proud of myself.
He had a great Father's Day. We love and appreciate him so much. He recently just got a big promotion and is now the VP of the companies training department at Freeway Insurance. So, the PS4 was partly for that too.
