Yesterday was my 29th birthday. I love birthdays. I don't mind that it means I'm getting older. I just look at it as I'm so grateful I got another year with my family. I've learned to like celebrating myself because we need to. Especially on our birthday!
I woke up to the boys and Fred bringing me some eggs and toast. Then I opened my cards from them. Fred had the boys all say something they loved about me. It was a total of 29 reasons. I couldn't even read the card aloud because it made me cry. It was such a sweet card and truly brought tears to my eyes. If that was all I had gotten for my birthday, I swear I would have been just as happy.
Fred bought me tickets to go see Phantom of the Opera on August 1st at the Pantages. I am so excited to go see it. It will be my 2nd time and it's my favorite musical. My mom and in-laws called me and sang to me. My mom sings to me every year and I love love love it. I look forward to it each year. I got a call from my dad too while he was at work. Some friends texted me which is always thoughtful and nice. Lots of people posted on my Facebook page.
Fred went to work and I took the boys to the lake to meet up with some friends. My friend Nikki brought me cupcakes! My mom friends and all the kids sang to me and it was very sweet. Then we went to Lucille's BBQ for dinner. It was a long wait and took a long time overall but was still yummy.
It was a nice day and I'm glad that I was able to celebrate with good friends and with my family.
