We got a pet hamster the other day! The hamster, cage, food, supplies- everything, was completely free so I figured why not? A lady was giving it away off of a Facebook group I follow called OC South- Sell My Stuff. Luckily I got her before other people. Lots of people were waiting in line if I didn't take it.
I surprised the boys after school by taking them to pick it up. They love holding it and watching it. They have been wanting a dog for a while and since we can't do a dog right now (we're having a baby) I figured this would tide them over and they'd have fun with it. I must admit, I love going in their room during the day or at night and holding the hamster. It's so cute, soft and cuddly. They named it Snowball since she's a whitish/cream/light gray color and when she curls up, she looks like a snowball.
