Macie turned 2 months while we were in Texas. I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. She also recently had her check up. She is 8 lbs 14 oz and is in the 2nd percentile and she's 21 1/2 inches and in the 7th percentile... so basically she's still very very tiny. But the doctor wasn't concerned, given how much she weighed at birth. I told her that Macie is spitting up a ton and she gave me some medicine for the acid reflux she may have.
Macie is starting to kick more and more and is sometimes able to kick out of her swaddle. She still loves to be swaddled, especially when she's tired. She is still sleeping in our room and on average wakes up about 2 times in the night. She goes to bed usually around 8 pm (still not on a schedule for the day) and tends to wake up anywhere from 1-2am, then again at 4ish. She is nursing but is easily gassy because she will latch on and off a lot. During the day she is wanting to nurse every 1.5-2hours and I've been having to sometimes give her a bottle in between so I can let my breasts rest and have time to fill up again. She raises her head a little when she does tummy time, holds her head up with little help, smiles and coos, fixes her eyes on objects and responds to noises. She's forming a little double chin, most newborn outfits don't fit her, and more headbands she owns are starting to fit. I'm having to cut her nails more often which she hates and she always hates the bath. She loves it when her brothers and Daddy talk to her and loves her carrier. She falls asleep in it if you're wearing her.
Asher is so helpful with throwing away dirty diapers and breast pads and is so gentle and loving to her. Caleb is always wanting to carry her and hold her and Ethan will help when asked but seems put out shortly after. He will feed her bottles sometimes and burp her when asked.
We've started calling her Macie Mae, Mace, Macie Moo, MaceMill, and Miss Mace. We love her so much and she is getting cuter and cuter each day.
