Mother's Day

Mother's Day was fun. I got breakfast in bed which was nice. I opened hilarious and beautiful cards from the boys. Caleb got me a puzzle, Ethan made me a sweet picture, Asher got me an adult coloring book. They all got me a Keurig. I do love my caffeine in the morning! We went to church and I got some chocolates and treats there then we ordered pizza and watched Willow. It was a fun day. I made collages for mom mom and Mother in Law with some messages for Facebook. We called our moms and wished them a happy day too.

I didn't always like being a mom. It is the hardest thing I've ever done. It's tiring in every way- mentally, emotionally and physically. It's a thankless job and I don't get paid and it's 24/7. It' repetitive and often mundane. HOWEVER- It is what I am most proud of. It is my biggest accomplishment. It reminds me daily that I can do hard things. And I have come to love being a mom. I'm still super impatient and get annoyed easily but I'm trying each day to be better. My kids are my whole world. They make me who I am. They are my biggest and greatest joy and I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything. I'm thankful I was able to have children. That they are mine. It gives my life meaning. They are my all.
