Caleb's Baptism

Caleb was baptized and confirmed by his daddy on September 3rd, 2016 at 5pm at our Stake Center in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.

Caleb was so excited and nervous to get baptized. He loved that it was his big day. We got to the church at 4:15pm. Caleb and Daddy got dressed, I set up Caleb's table, and practiced the song I was going to sing for the baptism. Unfortunately, I was sick but couldn't back out of singing. It didn't sound great but I did the best I could.

Lots of family and friends came to support Caleb. There were many families with kids from Caleb's class at church. It was nice so many came to support him. We had his grandparents, Uncle Travis and his family, Aunt Lindsey & Charlotte, Aunt Julie with Aidan and Logan, Great Aunt Kelly and Great Aunt Craig and Great Grandma Allen. I was so happy so many could come. Caleb felt so loved and special. He went down in the water only once which he was happy about too. 

We had my dad and Fred's dad say a few words about Caleb and share their testimonies after the confirmation. His friend Will from our ward was getting baptized the same day and he had a lot of family too. The whole thing went on longer than it should have but I wasn't in charge of the other talks or Will's family. 

Afterward, we met at In N Out and visited. Some of the family didn't come and went straight home but it was fun for those that came. I didn't have any family over to the house this time (we did for Ethan's). It's just too hard with our small house and the time for the baptism is just too weird. But Caleb seemed happy with In N Out. 

We are so proud of Caleb for the young man he is becoming. He didn't like the fact he now needs to start paying tithing with his money (he got tons of gifts and money from family) but other than that, he said he is happy with his choice. It was a special day and we love our Caleb so much. I know Heavenly Father is so proud of him too.
