Soccer Season

Caleb and Asher have really been enjoying soccer. At first Caleb didn't like his coach because he said he was mean. It was pretty strict compared to our old coach which I wasn't thrilled about at first. However, I have seen Caleb grow so much! He does run when he needs to be disciplined but that's something he needs. Their team has done so well with every game! He is really progressing! I'm so proud of him. He really loves soccer and it's really fun to watch him play. He scored 2 of the 4 goals at his last game!

Asher started his team and they practice once a week but I think Asher would like to practice more. He made his first goal in a game this past weekend so Daddy gave him $5. It was a kick from the side that went right into the goal. He was so proud of himself! He really likes playing and is so fast. He does get a little silly with his teammates, especially the ones that are in his kindergarten class but he's 5. He's so fun to watch! Hopefully he'll continue to love it and keep playing as he grows older.

Since we have practice so much, Fred and I decided that Ethan didn't need to go to all the practices and was old enough to start staying home alone for short periods of time. We got him a flip phone he can use to call Mom, Dad and 911 in case he needs us. On Thursdays he is alone for 2 hours and Friday he's alone for 1 hour. He really loves the alone time. Sometimes it's nice to be alone in a quiet house without your noisy family. He's also sitting in the front seat of the car now! It's a little strange to think he's really that old! I feel too young to have a son so old! He is so mature and such a smart and responsible boy. I'm so proud of him. He knows when he's alone he has to lock all the doors, not answer the door (for anyone!) and not use the stove or microwave. He usually reads, plays video games or watches tv.

Soccer makes our Saturdays busy but both Fred and I usually all don't go to both games. We trade off.  It's hard for Macie to sit for an hour. I forgot how busy babies can be!
