During the day, my birthday was the same as any other day. Laundry, chores for the kids, lunch, and some errands. But I had a fun thing surprises! Emily ordered a little lemon bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cake for me! All the way across the country! So I picked that up and then got me free Starbucks drink because you always get one on your birthday.
Fred came home early which was really nice and sent me off to go get my nails done (since I really wanted and needed them done) while he and the boys did "stuff." And the following pictures are what I came home to! This is from the TV show The Office which is Fred and I's all time favorite show. It's the episode where Dwight and Jim are in charge of putting together Kelly's birthday celebration that they forgot about. I walked in and died laughing and even started to cry as I hugged Fred because he's just so sweet to me. More than I feel I deserve.
He said the boys were very nervous and worried that I wouldn't like it all and he kept having to promise them that I would. And, of course, he was right!
He got me my wonderful cake ('pillow' included!), some new headphones, Peanut M&M's (my favorite) and the live-action Beauty and the Beast. Then we went to El Torito for dinner because Mexican is my favorite.
The night before, I went out to dinner with Nikki Hill and she got me a very nice card and a bracelet from Alex and Ani. It was a super fun night!
