We had a low-key 4th of July. We started off with the wards pancake breakfast. The boys participated in the flag ceremony and the parade. Everyone loved how Macie and I had matching leggings. After, Fred took the boys to the East Beach at the lake. Macie and I stayed home since she needed to nap and I wasn't feeling well. I had/have a UTI and it was becoming quite painful. Most of my 4th was lying in bed.
For dinner, Fred BBQ'd some chicken. We had watermelon, baked beans, macaroni salad and of course apple pie a la mode for dessert. We did some fun poppers in the front after and then I took the boys up the hill to see the firework show at the lake. They always do super fun fireworks.
I am always so proud of my boys when I watch them participate in the raising of the flag and then when we all salute that flag. Macie was very reverent during the whole thing too. I love this nation. I'm so proud to be an American. I know this is God's blessed and choice nation. I'm thankful to be free to choice how I want to worship and live. It always makes me so happy to see so many people dressing up in their red, white and blue. I feel so united!
