Fred took a Friday off (since he had been working so much and had hardly seen the kids) and took the boys camping right after they got home from school. It was a total surprise and when they found out, they were so excited. They just stayed for one night. They ate hot dogs, went on a hike, told scary stories around the campfire and had tons of fun. They came home the next day but took their time so we didn't end up doing soccer. It was much needed for them. They really love being with their dad. I'm so glad Fred took the opportunity to take them away for the night. They found a huge tarantula sitting next to Ethan and got lots of video and pictures of it. It was huge and SO gross!
Macie and I went shopping and I crafted a lot of the night, making Halloween decorations. But I certainly had a lot of laundry to do the next day when they all came back home, dirty and smelly!
