Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was busy, as usual. Fortunately, there was no traffic and we made it to SCV in great time. First we went to Lindsey's for Christmas lunch. She had so much yummy food. Some of Justin's family was there and then my parents and even my brother, Travis, came! He brought his kids and his wife, Jen, stayed home for who knows why. I hadn't seen Travis in over a year so it was nice to see him.

After we ate, visited and my parents opened their present, we went over to Greg's parents, Kathy and Gary's. She had a gift for each one of our kids and a gift card for Fred and I. She gave Ethan the book, Charlotte's Web. This is what she wrote on the inside:

Ethan,
We want to share a story about when your dad was around your age. (Ethan is almost 11) That was when we moved to Saugus and your dad and Greg became best friends. Well, during those first couple of  years living here- Charlotte's Web was Greg's favorite book. He read it over and over again. We hope you will enjoy this book just as much. Merry Christmas. Love, Kathy and Gary.

Fred read it and started to cry and hugged Kathy. It was a special moment for both of them. I love that she loves Fred like her own son and loves our family as if our kids were her grandkids. After we visited there, we went over to Nama and Bampa's. It was a small group this year with only Julie's family, us and Marlena. We still had fun and played a few games. Before we left, they opened up their Christmas PJ's. They looked so cute and I love that they all matched. Luckily, traffic was great coming back too and we got home around 10pm which is earlier than usual.

The kids were all exhausted and immediately went to bed. Fred finished up wrapping my presents and  then came to bed. Santa came while we slept and we woke up to a great Christmas!
