A few days before school ended, Ethan got his braces off! I think I was more excited than he was! When the Orthodontist was taking them off, he said that one of the teeth that a brace was attached to was really wiggly so instead of trying to remove the brace from the tooth, he was just going to pull it. So, they numbed Ethan's gums and left a cotton swab there to let it get numb. When the orthodontist came back and took the cotton swab off, the tooth came out with it! So not only did he get his braces off that day, he lost a tooth!
They office gave him a bunch of sweets and foods you can't eat with braces which was so nice. He goes back in a week to get his retainer and then it'll be a while before he gets his second phase. He looks so nice and grown up without them!
