We had a fun Independence Day! We went to the Mission Viejo 4th of July festival that is right in front of the lake. We had great parking since we're lake members. Asher and Caleb made candles out of honeycomb which was really cool. It was pretty hot so we enjoyed some snow cones which was yummy. After, we went to our friends house for a party! Nikki and Andrew Hill had us over and we stayed from 3pm-10:30pm! It was a great time eating, swimming and playing. We were able to watch some fireworks from their backyard too!
While we were at their house, some people who we didn't know came up to me while Fred was playing with the kids in the pool. I was so flattered from what they said. They told me, "We don't know your husband but while we've been watching him, he just seems like a really amazing dad. He's so great with all your kids and looks like he really loves playing with them and being their dad." Of course, they were totally correct from their observation. These kids are so lucky to have him for their dad.
I felt such pride the whole day. I love Independence Day. There is a sense of love, pride and community as you see everyone in red, white and blue. I love our country!
