Happy 33rd Birthday, Kirsten!

Yesterday, Sunday June 30th, I turned 33. Fred took me to dinner at Barton G's in Los Angeles on Saturday night. This dinner was the most delicious, extravagant, wild, weird and fun birthday dinner I've ever experienced. Everything is presented in an over the top manner. But the food is actually really amazing too! We loved the sliders, truffle fries, lobster mac & cheese, jambalaya, and the strawberry fields dessert. We were so full after. My lobster mac & cheese came in a mouse trap and Fred's jambalaya came in a whale! One of my drinks came through a little guy made up of pipes. It was so wild but so much fun!Fred had heard about it from a friend at work. He's always thinking outside the norm for others and it makes being married to him so fun.

The next morning I woke up to donuts and gifts from my family. Caleb had made me a cake, Asher put together a bouquet of flowers he found in the neighborhood and Ethan made me a coupon book and card. Fred got me tickets to Universal Studios's Harry Potter World The Dark Arts. It's a themed limited time event going on where the Dark Arts take over the castle.

After opening presents, I ended up falling asleep again until NOON! I guess I was tired! It was so awesome to sleep for so long. We ate some lunch then since it was too late to go to church, we went to the beach. It was almost impossible to find parking because it was such a gorgeous day and everyone wanted to be at the beach but it was worth it.

Then we came home, got pizza and watched Back to the Future. It was a great birthday. This upcoming year will bring lots of change but I'm optimistic and can't wait to see whats in store for me!
