Ethan Gets His Drivers Licence!

 Ethan got his drivers licence!! WHAT?! He had been dragging his feet to start the process because I think he was nervous to learn and take on the responsibility. But with a little pushing, he did all the steps to take the permit test. Unfortunately, he didn't didn't pass the first time and we had to wait a couple weeks for him to test again. He was pretty upset about it. On the second go around, he passed and we started practice driving. 

That was quite the experience. Some moments were terrifying but we survived. As his drivers test date came closer and closer, we didn't know if he'd be ready. We upped the practice and the amount he was practicing to help him feel prepared. And what do you know... he passed! He did miss quite a few things but still, he passed! That was on September 21st, 2023. After that, we told him we didn't want him driving alone for quite a while. Until he's proven to us that we can drive with him and see that he's not making mistakes and we're feeling comfortable enough to do it himself. After about 2 1/2 months, we let him drive himself for the first time early December. He drive to Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra which was at College of the Canyons. That isn't far from our house to it was a good first step. He can't drive his siblings yet by himself but we're not in any rush. The most important thing is we want him to be safe. 

I now have a new stress in my life that I'm just going to now have to accept, I guess.
