My birthday landed on a Sunday this year which was a little lame so we celebrated on the 29th. We went to the OC Zoo and dang- was it HOT!! We were melting but it was fun.
After Fred and I went to dinner. First we tried to go to a place called Javier's but it was a 2 hour wait. No way were we going to wait. I was super hungry and getting cranky. So we decided to go to the Yard House in Irvine. It was nice to go on a date. It had been a really long time.
On Sunday we did regular church and then I opened my present. I got a day at the spa with a full body message gift certificate and a basket full of lotions, oils, candles, bath salts, scrubs etc for stress relief. That night Fred gave me a message using all my new stuff. It was so nice. He is so sweet to me. Then we had dinner and cake. I got trick candles and we all had a fun laugh over that.
I got cards, texts, calls from Lindsey and my parents, Facebook messages from people and that was nice. Emily sent me this toe ring. It says Emmers BFF and she got one made to say Kirst BFF that she now wears. When I opened it and read the card, I cried. I miss her so much and it's hard to not be able to see your best friend all the time. We used to love next door to each other so now living so far apart, is really hard. I love her so much and even though it was a small and simple gift, to me it meant the world. I'm so grateful for her.
So, that was it! I'm now officially 27. I'm not really where I thought I'd be at 27 but that's okay. For next year, I'm going to try and focus on myself, my relationship with God and try to come closer to my Savior. I'm grateful for those who helped make my birthday special. It's always nice to have a birthday and feel so much love from people.
