Summer!

Summer, so far, has been busy! I was worried because we're going to have a long summer (we go back to school September 9th!) and that we wouldn't have tons to do and I'd hear the infamous 'I'm bored!!' While I have heard that a few times, overall it's been good. Here's what we've been up to...

We've been to the lake, tons.

Got ice cream. No summer is complete without Thrifty's!

Ok, so this is when we saw Despicable Me 2. I check a website that helps with couponing everyday and luckily I checked that day early in the morning because they had posted that Universal was doing a prescreening for the movie! After a lot of refreshes, watching the trailer and waiting, I finally got us 4 tickets for free! However, it wasn't a guarantee that we would get in so we had to be there EARLY. We left Asher with a babysitter and got in line at 5:30pm. Our movie started at 7:30 so we just waited. Good thing I got there SO early because there was already 100 people in front of us! It was a cute movie. We sat in the front section so we were a little close but I'm just glad we got in!!! Every seat was filled and some people didn't even get to see it! It was fun because it was the boy's first movie in the theater in like 3 years!!

Asher fell asleep in my lap at the lake.

Morning snuggles of course...

We also visited with Fred's family since Mary and her family came down to visit! It was so fun!!

Asher being a big boy...or wanting to at least.

For Father's Day my family had a party to celebrate all the dad's. We went swimming, had a BBQ and had fun.

Caleb and Great Grandpa Alvin.

Papa and Caleb. Caleb LOVES his Papa.

This is my dad wearing the shirt we got him for Father's Day. It's a picture of the kids and it says, 'Happiness is being Papa to Ethan, Caleb and Asher.' He loved it.

We've also had tons of swim play dates, story time at the library, and going on a family walk every night. So far, summer has been awesome!
