This is a big deal! Caleb finished reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief! We had been reading it together and he's decided that he is going to read the whole series. This kids has always hated reading so this is a big deal. It was like pulling teeth trying to convince him to read anything age appropriate and substantial. Since Ethan was getting a big Harry Potter day at Universal Studios for his prizer for reading all the books, Caleb wanted a prize too for reading all 5. We decided he could do a day at Catalina Island and go on a boat to go out there. It also is very fitting for the book series he's reading since Percy is the demi-god of Poseidon. He is feeling pretty proud of himself for reading the whole thing and I am too. It was a real struggle at times but he did it! Hopefully the more he reads the more he'll enjoy it and learn to love it. I'm so proud of him.
